Togyū studied painting with Kokei Kobayashi and used the nihonga style for his art. Later he taught at the Imperial Art School and the Tōkyō School of Fine Arts. Eleven of Togyū’s paintings of flowers and (or) birds are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Togyū also published some of his art as lithograph prints.
